DMT, or N,N-DMT, is a powerful hallucinogenic compound that shares similarities with other psychedelics such as LSD and psilocybin. Known for its profound psychoactive effects, DMT has a rich history of use, often tied to spiritual and ceremonial practices. Its effects are typically intense and include:

The compound was first synthesized in 1921 by Canadian chemist Richard Manske. It gained prominence in 1956 when its psychoactive properties were identified as the active ingredient in Cohoba, leading to further exploration of its effects.
